Great Harvest has been baking bread the way it ought to be from the beginning, and we still believe in our phenomenal bread-making process. Rather than use additives to shorten the baking process, we employ time and traditional methods to give our bread exquisite flavor and texture.
Since many of our baked goods use 100% whole grain flour, we mill our own right in the bakery. You can’t get any fresher than that. And we don’t use just any whole grain. For over three decades, we have been a friend to family farms across the plains of Montana and we know our wheat farmers by name. In fact, our wheat is a unique, proprietary variety that has superior baking qualities, giving our bread a hearty flavor that is uniquely Great Harvest.
Finally, all that we produce is made from scratch, using pure, simple ingredients, free from additives or preservatives. No frozen, pre-packaged dough for us! Just ingredients like flour, water, yeast, salt, honey and so on.
